Total Lubricant Management - Oil Filtration Service

Contaminated Oil causes Hydraulic System Problems

Siyaram Petrotech extensive research and contamination control programme found that 80% of all hydraulic system problems were caused by oil contaminated with:

  • Metal particles
  • Environmental dirt
  • Tank sealants
  • Water
  • Plastic particles

Contamination causes increased in maintenance, reduced hydraulic oil life, increased downtime and waste.

Siyaram Petrotech Fluid Management Service removes contamination, and our filtration solutions provide consistent and unmatched cleanliness in fluid systems throughout their life cycle.

  • Initial Oil Fill for new machines
  • Oil condition monitoring
  • Oil Filtration
  • Full oil change (and disposal of used oil)

Initial Oil Fill Service

For hydraulically powered systems delivered dry, Siyaram Petrotech offers the facility of an initial oil fill utilising superclean hydraulic oil. This Service, in conjunction with other parts of the Total Fluid Management Scheme, gives the following benefits:

  • Extended life-time of oil
  • Substantial savings on component parts through less wear and tear
  • Savings on manpower as maintenance intervals are extended
  • Optimum performance attained as valve sticking reduced
  • Extended life of filters
  • Reduced downtime

The Siyaram Petrotech Fluid management system utilises the latest filtration equipment, delivering superclean hydraulic oil directly into your machine eliminating the possibility of contamination from external sources.

Independent Oil Condition Monitoring

In conjunction with a world-leading independent laboratory specialising in oil analysis, we offer predictive maintenance based on condition monitoring. Benefits include

  • Extended oil change intervals
  • Diagnoses of abnormal wear with substantial savings on components
  • Savings as maintenance intervals are extended to an economical level
  • Identification of defective operating conditions
  • Optimum performance maintained
  • Reduced downtime

Oil condition monitoring costs little relative to the capital cost of your equipment. The service it
provides is perhaps the most inexpensive way available of avoiding costly downtime and repairs.

Condition monitoring has 3 stages, sampling (using the kit we provide), sample analysis (auto-viscometer, FTIR and ICP spectrophotometer) and finally issuing of results and recommendations to you.

Oil Filtration Service

As the design of hydraulic systems continues to move towards high line pressures, greater servo control sensitivity & reduced oil capacity, the operational stresses increase. The flow of oil carrying destructive solids & corrosive sediments through tightly tolerenced clearances of the components adds greatly to component wear & risk of failure increases.

Siyaram Petrotech has instigated a programme to include the regular filtration of hydraulic oil, leading to

  • Extended life-time of oil
  • Substantial savings on component parts through less wear and tear
  • Savings on manpower as maintenance intervals are extended
  • Identification of defective operating conditions
  • Optimum performance attained as valve sticking reduced
  • Extended life of filters
  • Reduced downtime

The Siyaram Petrotech Fluid management system utilises the latest filtration equipment, incorporating in-line particle counters to give on site monitoring with a hard copy of cleanliness levels for customer retention.

The customer can stipulate what cleanliness level is required, and the oil is passed through the filter until that level is achieved.

Full production continues whilst filtration operation is in progress.

Oil Change Service

The Siyaram Petrotech Fluid management system utilises latest vacuum equipment to enable rapid removal of oil from a machine allowing our technician free access to the hydraulic reservoir for thorough cleaning.
It is advisable that the system is flushed at this stage to purge contaminated fluid remaining in the lines, pump, etc. Suction filters to be cleaned/changed as appropriate.

The machine is refilled with virgin superclean oil of the appropriate viscosity using a 3 μm filtration pump. In compliance with current legislation, used oil is removed from your premises for safe and authorised disposal.
